The 19th European Film Festival "Europe on Screen" took place between the 18th and 30th April 2019 in Indonesia.

. Thanks to the efforts of the Polish Embassy in Jakarta, four Polish films were presented at the festival: two Polish full-length productions: "Cold War" dir. Paweł Pawlikowski and "Another Day of Life" dir. Damian Nenow, Raúl de la Fuente, as well as the documentary "In a Lion" dir. Karol Lindholm and the film "Bernard" dir. Anna Oparkowska in the short film block category.

As in previous years, the special guest of this year's edition of the festival was a filmmaker from Poland, director and cameraman, Karol Lindholm. The young author participated in the lecture organized as part of the screening of his debut documentary "Lion's Interior", answering many questions from Indonesian viewers.

During this year's edition of the festival, approximately 970 projections of over 100 European films were organized in 8 Indonesian cities. The event enjoys great interest and growing popularity among the local public, deprived of exposure to European cinema on a daily basis.

The consistent participation of Polish filmmakers in the most important industry events in Indonesia brings the film industries of both countries closer. It is to be hoped that after mutual knowledge and joint efforts, the first Polish-Indonesian co-productions will be realized in the future.
